Practice Style

EVIDENCE-BASED: Treatment can be a positive turning point with the potential to nurture and build lifelong skills to help you thrive. We will explore diagnostic frameworks, and compare current standards of care to novel treatments. Additionally, we will discuss treatment guidelines and scientific research that inform the risks, benefits and effectiveness of medication and psychotherapy.

TEAM: I value collaboration with other treatment providers such as counselors, nutritionists, primary care physicians, and past psychiatrists. I believe this strengthens support for your treatment goals and the delivery of high-quality care for your whole health.

SAFETY: Your safety is my priority. In an outpatient practice, patients receive care voluntarily. They agree to adhere to treatment plans and are stable enough to receive care in an office setting. If you are in need of acute treatment or other services that are outside of the scope of my practice, license, and clinical expertise, I will recommend that you seek the appropriate level of care. If your condition becomes unstable, medically complex, or could benefit from a specialty setting, I will recommend transferring your care. Regarding medications, I use medications judiciously, opting for the least quantity and dosage necessary to help relieve symptoms.
